Event Navigation
This workshop will be held Online via Zoom.
We will cover audio basics from on set audio capture through to final delivery. We’ll discuss mics, audio recorders, audio formats and levels, DAW software, working with OMF/AAF
files, dialogue clean up/editing and syncing, mixing basics, delivery specs and formats.
The interactive workshop will happen online via Zoom. Chris will present material and then provide demonstrations using industry standard audio software. Students may supply audio files or OMF/AAF files from any recent project they have been working on and Chris will demonstrate his techniques/workflow for all in the workshop to observe.
Students should deliver any files in advance so Chris can have them downloaded and prepped for presentation. Software demonstrations will be done in Pro Tools, Digital Performer, and 3rd party plugins such as Izotope’s RX. Demos may also be done in Davinci Resolve/Fairlight for those looking for an all in one (video and audio) solution that is free.
Audacity could also be demoed if students desired it. Techniques shown in Pro Tools/Izotope RX can be appliedin any DAW.
