2014 Frantic48 Films
The following selection of films were produced as part of 2014’s first annual Frantic48 competition, and screened as part of the Reel Shorts Film Festival.
Teams were given 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and deliver a 2-7 minute short film. Each team was assigned a semi-random genre and all teams had to incorporate a prop (framed picture of John Wayne) and a line of dialogue (“If it don’t make dollars, then it don’t make sense.”).
Some teams spent more time polishing their films after the 48 hour challenge, and some of these posted clips reflect that. Not all films have been shared online, so this selection is incomplete. Eleven teams participated.
Congratulations to our winners! And thank you to Community Futures for Sponsoring our Awards and Reel Shorts and GPLT for co-presenting this event.
